SUNNY GAYDON WET RETURN HOME

just back from Gaydon, torrential rain nearly a;ll the way home which really slowed down the traffic, the day had though despite dire predictions been really hot and sunny with just an odd spot of rain now and then. This followed on from Saturday which started cloudy but came out fine. The trucks rolled in slowly on Saturday which meant that the size and date restrictions looked like overkill. The Steel Boys run arrived late, I nearly missed it all when I was told bey a marshall that they weren't coming until Sunday. A lot of the lads were staying at the Premier Inn same as us, this was a nightmare evening as there was a rock festival nearby which had be reverberating through the hotel and village for two days and night, the police would do nothing to stop it. There was no lift and we were up a steep flight of stairs, it was a bit of a maxze inside as well. Slept OK though in the end thanks to a delicious meal at a pub we'd visited a few years back in another illage over the border in Norhamptonshire. Gaydon picked up a lot on Sunday although the drop in attendance was noticeable but it was easier to get good photos. For the first time I got to look around the model show. With nearly 4 hours of film it's going to take some editing. Stayed to the death to get the departures. I'll bring more shots of the show for the next few postings after all we have had a heavy dose of trams recently.
