BACK FROM SARDINIA

Sassari in the north of Sardinia, the second city, a tramways part of FDs railways which has all the narrow gauge stuff, 20 minute service recently extended line on the rail section as opposed to town running. Single track line with Italian trams, the station is one of the very few spots you can get a decent photo. The city is dismal especially in the rain!
In the capital Cagliari is the recently opened line again FDs operated, 950mm single track with Skoda cars, operates up to 10 mins at peak but in the holiday period was down to hourly, the holidays ended on Wednesday this week so on our return trip I managed to get some lineside shots in the sun

Cagliari has 3 trolleybus routes, all in operation on my visit

another Cagliarri tram scene

and yet another which shows off well the single track nature and narrow gauge. The drivers in both cities and all modes were very friendly and a nice cab ride in Cagliarri on my first visit.
Back at work briefly today but John Bishop's daughters wedding in Sussex tomorrow then back home Saturday and Sheffield rally Sunday. I've the physio today at 3 so not much time left, not enough minutes etc.
Sad news from our friend Albert Gonzalez Masip in Barcelona , his mother has finally passed away after a long illness, our condolences of course.
All orders should have been cleared by the end of today from, post, EBay and Amazon. By next week should have caught up with editing DVDs from South West prior to Showbus at the end of the month.
