DERBY STOKE TOMORROW WITH LUCK

Actual stills from the film 1603 Glorious days of Glasgow Trams
Tomorrow we intend filming at Derby and Stoke, the weather looks set to be sunny. Its been a fairly horrid day at work, fell foul of office politics and got a stab in the back so glad its the weekend. Can't really get much enthusiasm together today which most of you will know is against the trend.

I've just finished the first of the 2 Glasgow tram programmes , the computer was operating at the limits of its capacity and kept shutting down, putting the sound on became a nightmare.

I suppose after a quiet week for orders it will pick up on Monday when Mandy goes off to Egypt for the week, sods law that.

WREXHAM IN EARLY SPRING WELL BUSES REALLY

Well tonight Mandy may drag me off to the Three Greyhounds but before then I need to stick some sound on the Glasgow tram archive, hopefully finished by tomorrow night.
othing certain yet but we might be hospital visiting in Soith West this weekend, I may be able to combine with filming who knows.

EARTHQUAKES TO TROLLEYBUSES

Well rejoice trolleybus buffs, there will be some Glasgow trolleys amongst the two programmes on Glasgow which i'm still editing, just the sound to add to the first tonight, should be ready by the weekend, then rattle off the second, then turn to North East regional archive followed by Derby and Nottingham archives, phew, easy if you say it quick. Meanwhile sunny days at Bournemouth way back when
Not everything NBC was really boring was it?

A taster for the Nottingham archive.

Has everyone started sending texts by phone, what a strange world, why not pick up the phone and use it, I hate mobiles anyway although they come in handy when I'm out filming and want to see how Mandy's doing.

Well what about the earthquake last night, we woke up a about 00.58 with the bed wobbling and all the stuff on Mandy's dressing table rattling, it was like the 84 quake I felt in Darlington, the epicentre for that was Wales.

MORE ON READING BUSES YESTERDAY

some more shots from yesterdays last Metrobus running day at Reading, by the way we got another invite to visit Swindon courtesy Stuart Curwen and Thamesdown themselves, should be in April hopefully, they raised over 3700 for charity with their running day for last Fleetlines the previous week, only rreason we weren't there was sorting Alberts old car out.

Today I've started to put all the Glasgow tram archives onto DVD, no mean feat as there are over two hours spread through many master tapes, mostly Terry Barker material copyright to PMP which i purchased before he took his life , very sad.

This afternoon going to Maghull to meet Spencer relations, bound to be a tale to tell, first I'll have met since my dad died in 1972.

READING METROBUS RUNNING DAY

Well safely home and already running off the DVD of the Reading Metrobus Runing Day, seemed to go well and quite a few people around, friendly crews and no hassle, weather cloudy which was spot on with lighting always difficult in Reading.

Got our Christmas present from Canada today, posted November 2007, bless our post office, aren't they wonderful.

Meeting 'new' family on Spencer side tomorrow at Maghull near Liverpool.

Today met up with John and Maureen Bishop in Reading, exchanged cine film for projects.

MEMORIES OF STOCKPORT IN THE SEVENTIES

favourite haunts in Stockport where you could still wander feeely around the bus station before the gestapo stepped in, who the hell would want to visit now when they are so unfriendly, counter productive my old chinas at the executive, your loss not ours, wonder if passengers are also loathed like enthusiasts?

Tomorrow the trip to Reading is on, perhaps we'll see some of you there for the last Metrobus Running Day

Next I hope to start work on Glasgow trams archives

I am learing Polish from our young engineer from Gdansk, only at greetings and thanking stage though.

TRUCKING HEAVEN IT MUST BE

Yes I've finished the South American truck film on DVD and even done the cover, also rattled off the cover for Hull and then finished the runcorn truck film from earlier this week, phew no wonder we are off to the pub tonight. Still a couple of jobs to finish before hand.

If the weather is suitably cloudy I'll do the reading running day on Saturday and meet John Bishop there to pick up some cine for recopying, I'm going to start again on the Derby and Nottingham trolleys, also the N East archive and Glasgow trams and somewhere fit in more trucks perhaps from Malta, a busy scehule for the next couple of weeks when Mandy is away in Egypt.

RUNCORN TRUCKS

Runcorn yesterday afternoon, thought I'd get them posted now while I was editing the footage, so much on the go at present.

SOUTH AMERICAN TRUCKS

Trucks in Argentina 1996, I've just finished putting it onto DVD, well worth the effort, all our films from that trip are actually now converted.

Today tutoring a young female Polish engineer at work, fighting the cold and generally very busy.

I got a court order or something delivered to home from the accident last June, it should have gone to the insurance, The Paki taxi driver is claiming whiplash, wish we could give him a bit of a whipping, what a con merchant, he was a cool as a cucumber, mind you when his mate picked him up they went off the wrong way down the one way street, says a lot about their driving.
