NEW YORK A RARE OLD TREAT FROM THE STATES

Tonight I relented to a customer request and put my New York bus visit on DVD, it should be listed on web site and Youtube clip by tomorrow plus ebay etc.

I'm also still working on the New Zealand trips which took a back seat to the New York work.

We are trying to get 2007 trips set up now Christmas is finally sorted with Dhaka, Calcutta and then Thailand. Next year, Portugal, Southern Poland, West Ukraine, Malta, Nice and whatever.

I'll post some Yorkie photos tomorrow night.

Had jabs for Xmas trip, my arms a bit stiff tonight!!

NEW ZEALAND ALL THE WAY

photos Bakewell and Chesterfield on Saturday

Tonight I'm downloading my 1993 trip to New Zealand which has good coverage of Wellington Trolleys, I'm also working on the sound track for Roll on New Zealand, archive 1970-76. I intend releasing all the New Zealand transport scenes in one hit with as much on each DVD as possible.
Rotten cold miserable weather, I went down to the Southern Cemetery at Chorlton and tidied Mandy's family graves up.
I've also been continuing work pruning down the autobiography.

CHESTERFIELD BUSES ON SATURDAY

a few more views of Cheshfield on Saturday. John and Sue have left, John was trying to capture Maynes today in case they 'vanish' soon. Remains to be seen what the weather will do this weekend, a freezing start today at minus 3, hoping to tackle the family graves and get bulbs in the week. I put the heater on in the greenhouse tonight.
I intend staring on the sound for the New Zealand archive.
I managed to get a couple of DVD covers done before Emmerdale!

READY FOR CHESTERFIELD TOMORROW

well what a mixture, tonight we have guest editor John Bishop with us who wants to say a few words,
After a horrendous trip from Hailsham near Eastbourne East Sussex I am well established here at Lower Peover. We are promised a day out in Chesterfield tomorrow to study the transport scene there. who knows this could feed another book in the future for Ian Allan Publishing.
hope you enjoy the photo selection, tomorrow perhaps some more modern scenes

MEMORIES OF MERSEYSIDE BUSES

in the 1970s I used to go on lots of depot visits with the Crosville Enthusiasts Club including Merseyside.

The New Zealand DVD has all images complete and lasts a full 90 minutes. The sound will take some time to add.

I'm also busy pruning the autobiography still.

John Bishop will be with us at the weekend, we intend to visit Chesterfield on Saturday.

KEEP ON DAVE THE CROWDS ALL ROARED SILENTLY

reminders of the London archives I've been editing, another volume now ready
reminders again of Manchester ( Bolton) when I first arrived in late 60s, my book is going forward to publishing soon
No that's what we all call a line up!
The Seddons weren't as successful as they could have been , ahead of their time perhaps

Not a lot of shouting when I threatened to call it a day, in fact since I went over to blog feedback has been almost non existent.

Another posting on Youtube, Cambridge buses in September

ANYBODY OUT THERE

another selection from Oxford yesterday, nothing of course from Reading where i gave up before I started.

Sitting listening to fireworks which is amazing as it is Sunday, it was never acceptable even when it was 5th Nov on a Sunday, the fireworks happened on a Saturday, even Lewes Bonfire observes that. Suppose its about the fifth night in a row adding halloween to the pot.

Had a good session in the garden this morning and cleaned the car, thank goodness Mandy is home tomorrow night, normality again.

Re did the London archive film, just finishing the sound tonight.

Is there anybody our there, blog readership almost non existent, thanks to the loyal few but may just drop it altogether.

WHAT A DAY

feel like throwing in the towell after today, weather forecast said overcast all south below Manchester so thougyt where is handy when cloudy and I've still on list, ah Reading I think, may as wellcombine with Oxford.

First prob M6 motoway sahut due to loory overyturn.

Then not cloudy but bright cloudless sky all day.

Camera needed head cleaning, had to return to car.

Car park time ran out before finished

Reading, Market St closed for resurfacing nowhere suitable for photography in sun other than there so gave up, by way no maps where buses went, no one knew what was happening!
parking cost £3 for less than an hour but better than Oxford £5 for 3 hours.

Got home, the London archive I've been editing this week has fatal error on transitions which I couldn't fix, so lost weeks work.

other than that....

and isn't google blogger spell check useless

STRIPPING BACK THE BUS YEARS

eehh, it was cold up north in them days, not arff, anyway harking back to the sixties when I first moved to Manchester, even the odd trip to Yorkshire in the seventies. L United was the countries largest independent bus operator by the way.
Busy today, Mandy was on the beach in Ireland, something of a heat wave I hear.
Busy editing tonight, someone phoned in weather forecast with order so missed the outlook, still waiting to decide on Saturday location for filming, any votes??
