POTTERIES HANLEY BUS STATION

some actual stills from images going back as far as 1989 from my latest archive release which has been hurried through for release on Sunday at the PMP sponsred POPS rally at Barlaston Wedgwood centre in Staffordshire near Stoke. Be sure not to miss this one of the most prestigous rallies of the year with a wide age profile of entrants, several being pre way.
BUsy day amidst the dooom and gloom of a falling stock market and the petty wrangling which will cobble together a Britisg government following the inconclusive election results last night. This is going to be worse than the pre election saga. Spent some time in the garden emptying out the largest conrainers and speading the spoil, also de weeding a couple of borders, watering plants etc. Then on with video editing, hope to get 2 programmes ready for the rally. What else, well isn't it enough to be getting on with. Not sure about filming tomorrow, must catch the latest weather later tonight, it looks like being a bit damp most places, its been cold, windy and wet today interspersed with sunny spells or at least the promise of same.

STAFFORDSHIRE THE POTTERIES BUSES GALORE

This coming Sunday will be the annual POPS bus rally at the Wedgwood Centre at Barlaston in the Potteries, this will be the 10th POPS rally which I have sponsored and with luck it will live up to it's usual reputation and bring good weather amidst a wet miserable spell. The usual mix of classic and vintage buses is expected and as ever I'll be there recording it as well as flogging the old DVDs on the stand. Frequent free vintage bus service to keep every one happy, great toilets and cafe and of course the museum. I'm working on a Potteries archive feature ready for Sunday!!

nuff said avoid spelling bees, well what do you expect on a film of buses, mobs of kangaroos hopping by, sometimes it drives you to despair especially like today when the old back is playing up again, the nerve pain killers have so many side effects its only so long you want to take them and balance against the pain without. Thankfully 99% or more is super feedback the only negative on EBay in a whole year is because I criticised Reading, the pearl in the crown , the Florence of the south, set amongst the green , lash rolling hills of Berkshire where the deer amble about and the nightingales sing at dusk.. ok did I make amends or is there free speech?

We went to the Parish council meeting last night where they debated a planning application for a chicken farm in our village, the local council has no power though but it was defeated in a motion of 4 to 1 objecting to the application. It was a crowd by usual standars, all the adult seats were taken, the council were reduced to the toddlers chairs.

MORE LORRIES AT LLANDUDNO FESTIVAL

some more lorry pictures from last weekends Festival of Transport at Llandudno, a great weekend for commercial vehicle enthusiasts albeit not one orientated so much as the specialist but visitors from general public.
Today we had the drive surfaced, looks very dark, shiny and whole house stinks of the finishing paint / varnish, all windows are open at present. I got everything uploaded onto Amazon, all the latest releases and just the llandudno covers to make. I should have some uploads on Youtube tonight. New washing line to put up today and some more tidying in the garen. Temperature still low, around 10 with wind and cloud on the whole not very spring like.

LLANDUDNO TRANSPORT FESTIVAL BUSES YESTERDAY

today I concentrate mainly on the free bus service and other buses attending on Sunday. Its Bank Holiday Monday here in England, we were contemplating going to Showbus but we were far too tired after being late waiting for the Gt Orme run last night and being frozen all day so gave everything a miss so we could recover and I can catch up on editing etc. Its bright sunshine outside today but very cold last night. I should have all the London visits finished and may even start on Llandudno festival. I hope to get everything loaded on Amazon as well.

ROGER AND OUT MR STEVENS

pictures from tonights rather delayed Gt Orme run at llandudno, its really late considering how early we left so it's an early night for us now. The day was good, best bit we heard that Roger Stevens the counterfeiter was found to have drugs and was drunk so his tally with the police mounted. His car wasn't his own, the owner couldn't recall who he'd loaned it to. Hmm strange people, beware please study yesterdays photos, don't let him into your event. Sunny day on the coast but bitter cold in the stiff wind. Better days trading but not very good, probably wouldn't do it again other than film the event.

COUNTERFEITER CAUGHT AT LLANDUDNO FAIR

looks familiar, forged copies of Online DVDs and one of mine higher up the display, we spotted Cholmey as he trades as we were being guided to our stand this morning at Llandidno transport festival. We immediately reported it to the organisers . Our forger friend was pulled up by trading standards officials with police support, he was cautioned and evidence taken

he then tried to carry on trading but was asked to leave the site by the organisers. He packed up then attempted to leave at speed, smashing in the door of a car on the next stand. Hre then attempted to drive off but his car broke down in the aisle. The police were there for the second time, turns out not only no insurance but no licence, it wasn't even his car.

Although poetic justice we feel so sorry for the chap whose car he hit. A lousy days trading but lots to film, didn't get back till 8 pm. If you spot old Chombley and his stand report it to the organiser, don't buy anything they are rubbish copies anyway. Thanks to everyone who has helped , we are still working for a prosecution through Manchester trading standards on breach of copyright, todays pull was for selling fake trade marked goods. Lots of trucks today, not so many buses although a couple of surprises. I'll bring you truck photos tomorrow.
