BACK FROM STOKES BAY BUS RALLY

scenes from today's bus rally at Stoke's Bay, shame it will probably be our last trip there as Alston running day and rally has a lot more to offer and takings were better there on first visit. Stokes Bay had only about 7 bus trade stands when it first started and now shot of the cars etc should really have taken off as a replacement for Southsea rally. However this has not happened and although it is friendly and no hassle it is not cost effective with dozens of other trade stands including a chap who turns out poorly shot stuff at knock down prices only a couple of stands away. The weather picked up well in the afternoon after a very blowy and cloudy start. We made good time getting back but had packed up at 3.30 so you can see how exciting it was at the stand, this was a general feeling, also visitors and buses seemed to be down. Report on our Portsmouth visit perhaps tomorrow.
