HEREFORD AND WORCESTER DONE TODAY

stills from my 1995 video at Vancouver, both volumes have been combined to one and released on DVD.

Today i was filming at Worcester ( very quiet) and Hereford ( dead), I think both will have to go on a 3 or 4 year cycle, I intend to publish an extended schedule for next 5 years if I haven't pegged it before then.

Working on the rest of the Canadian trip , next Toronto.

Bobs cine footage of the West Midlands was astounding quality and lasts very nearly an hour and will be released in next week or so. Covers 1970 to early 80s.

What about the old archibishop of Canterbury, next plane for Saudi eh if he doesn't end up in the tower as a traitor before then, long live Britain .

MORE BUS MEMORIES

Even Southdown at pool Valley in NBC era mid seventies had plenty of vehicle variety if not livery variations.

Sorry I missed a blog yesterday busy editing the Canadian Material

In the post today 2 large reels of archive West Midlands material kind genorosity of Robert Dalton, I'll report on likely usage etc when I've copied them.

Still not certain about film location for tomorrow, may be Worcester Hereford but could be Hull Doncaster.

Requests for new London, yes will will feature London when the light improves, say March onwards.

Here are the first samples I've done with the neg copier on low resolution so I can upload them on blog, normaly copy photo quality, it will be great to see how they turn out, now I can bore you all rigid can't I, I were nowt but a young lad then! Lots of Ribble and Crosville for them thats interested!! Even did a few commercials in the 70s, don't remember any of it.

Also working on Vancouver in early 90s

Did another year on my book, only a few pages to go, phew be glad to see it finished.

SOLIHULL BUSES 2008

as is often the case these are actual stills from the film, both Solihull and Wolves films are now ready although a minor hiccup this morning and had to remake the Solihull DVD, mainly because I deleted a file before I'd burnt it, senile moment. The three Porto DVDs should be done by the end of the day. Next I'm going to do the RT Safari on DVD, prog 1037, demand from Ian Allan at Waterloo!
Its been a quiet week for orders so why not get a few ordered up on the shop on ebay or get writing your wish lists now.
Off into the garden for a tidy next, the mice have gone from the shed at last, blowing a gale today, rain expected later, Mandy off to Ireland tomorrow

TRAVELODGE WORST IN THE WORLD NEXT TO BQ

Today filmed in Wolverhampton and West Brom, got hauled up at Wolverhampton, have I got a permit, evidentaly you need a photo permit from gestapo hq at something called Centro to take pictures, just ignored him and carried on. Weather very cold, little bit of snow at Lower Peover but Mandy decided to err on cautious side and stay at home. West Brom is about as rough as you get, hasn't got any better, dregs of society hanging about and giving bother.

Tried to book hotel at Cambridge, our usual b&b for Duxford is on holiday that weekend isn't Travelodge crap, website is a disaster and no human you can phone.

Had hassle last night trying to renew my passport, the UKPA office is staffed by foreigners, nuff said, thats the way its going , we'll be the odd ones out here soon, if the BNP wasn't so full of cranks and thugs they would have millions joining.

OPORTO PORTO DVDS FROM THE BEGINNING

Yes we are way back at videos numbers 1 to 3 and tonight No2 is busy rendering to maximise colour and sharpness, these should look better than ever. The clanking rumbling trams of Porto were a sight to behold, our thanks to Daniel Tavares for the film.

A bit of snow tonight, tomorrow still hangs in the balance pending the weather forcast later on.

Mandy is getting ready for a visit to Ireland on Monday for a week, its been quiet for film orders, no doubt it will go ballistic when I'm on my own.

Ghent 2001 Tramway issues on DVD from PMP

Ghent was just one our my recent conversions to DVD, after last nights trip to the Halle back at work tonight with a trip back to the beginning with Oporto or Portos programmes 1,2 and 3 which are looking gret on DVD, filmed by Daniel Tavares between 1990 and 93 with up to 3 routes operating, finishes with opening of the museum.

Snow forcast for tomorrow, standing by with camera for any photo opportunities, not sure about weekend film location, depends on weather.

Autobiography, now up to 2004, it finishes 2006.

HALLE 150 BRIDGEWATER HALL

A late blog as we didn't get home until nearly midnight after attending the Hale orchestras 150th anniversary concert at the Bridgewater Hall in Manchester. We were lucky to get tickets, a last minute release of some choir stalls meant a bargain price for such a memorable night with Mark Elder at the baton with bass baritone Sir John Tomlinson standing in for indisposed Dmitri Hvorostovsky, DAme Janet Baker narrating, yound Russian iasnist Polina Leschenko, the choir and youth choir and a standing ovation for the likes of Elgar's In The South ( Alassio) and Vaughan William's Towards An Unknown Region. Great night, hope I live to crawl in for the 200th!!

FRENCH TRIP CONTINURED ST ETIENNE

St Etienne was another destination on my 1997 tour of France and the film was recently converted to DVD
Following an unacceptable level of abusive and obscene remarks I've decided to delete all my Youtube films and cease bothering, its like wishing toothache on yourself. There are some pretty nasty people out there, bit like security guards at bus stations in Yorkshire eh!! Its a shame these sites are operated by Americans who have zero regard for family values, its all porn, music and thugs, still we did get over 250,000 hits.
I am redoubling my efforts to move to a bungalow and get out of Lower Peover at last, an unfriendly place.

LYON 1997 TROLLEYBUSES

I continue my look back at our visits to France in 1997 with Lyon.

Tonight I'm finishing Limoges on to DVD, that's almost the whole year of French visits except Paris and Lille so far. I need to start knocking out the covers and getting them on to Ebay shop.

Busy at work, car in today for new control box, the little spanner light has gone at last.

The BBC Radio Stoke broadcast went out just before 8 this morning, not too bad but they cut the plug for the POPS rally.
