EMMA AND PHILLIP'S WEDDING BUNBURY
MERSEYSIDE PTE DAY LIVERPOOL
Liverpool this morning, the cold damp weather didn't deter the stalwarts who were determined to celebrate 40 years since the formation of the MPTE, although this event was a minnow compared to the Manchester SELNEC event it was still very welcome. With little prior publicity it still attracted quite a number of enthusiasts, there was a run from Pall Mall to St Georges Hall in the city centre. My glasses fell off mounting a city tour bus service, scratched the right lens, this is now on my Monday to do list.

NO SNOW TODAY
despite hints in last night's forcasts there was no sign of snow in our area but it is now in single digit temperatures . They say it will be a mild winter, certainly has been through the autumn although very wet. These scenes i took in Budapest will satify those who love the white stuff
last night I completed Amsterdam Trams 1996-1999, last one will be 2001. I do need to make the covers. I'll carry on and do Den Haag for completeness plus Arnhem and Utrecht which have less coverage. Next then as promised some rally scenes and running days of yesteryear. The wedding at Bunbury today so blog again Sunday morning.

SOUTHDOWN EVERYONES FAVOURITE
Worthing rally in it's heyday
a reminder of warmer days as it's now wet, windy and cold.
Southdown Queen Marys were one of the most popular vehicles in this smart fleet

last night I managed top finish off the latest truck DVD and then started on Amsterdam, 1989 - 2001 which like Rotterdam fills in the gaps up to releases on DVD and brings in some unseen footage from Ken Harris. It was quite busy on the net last night and heaps of orders in the post but everything is still back in the post same day.
The Spencer clan meeting scheduled for this coming Sunday is off due to sudden illness but it does mean I'll have time to do more on the MPTE event at Liverpool

RESULT ON EXETER INCIDENT
memories of Katmandu trucks
our famous river crossing near Indian border at Chitwan National Park, the canoe paddled through crocodile infested waters
a noisy but friendly city

Yes a result from Stagecoach, the driver who aimed the bus at me earlier this year was dismissed, never heard about the Sheffield incident though, might chase them up.

FAMILY FRIENDS IN LONDON
back home safely Sunday teatime after our visits to LOTS sale in London on Saturday, not to bad an event, after a slow start we had some reasonable sales which in the end beat last year comfortably so we live to fight on another year at Harrow Leisure Centre. Not the easiest of venues to find I'm sure a lot of people are put off but its difficult location.
Just a lone RM outside and an RF, other than that i didn't see anything one the usual free bus service at all
a busy scene inside the hall with Mandy holding the fort
Daniel, Rebecca and Lynda joined us at the hotel for diner on the Saturday evening, cousin Stephen joined in later.
Daniel who is now about 7 foot tall it seemed making headway into a super plate full
Rebecca now has her own car and is battling through a tough uni course
The Vincent clan at the trough!

a lot of orders in the post , on Amazon and EBay but all should be cleared tomorrow if Mandy has the stamina. My knee is giving me concern and my right ankle is now in pain, oh dear thought all that was behind me.
Some pretty dire rude remarks on Youtube, as usual, perhaps I should disable all remarks. Still some people are very sweet, like this email feed back
Dear Dave,
We recently bought the Warrington and Widnes Buses 2009 DVD as a present for our bus-mad 3 year old son. We just wanted to let you know that he loves it, especially the Warrington section which is our local patch. We're going to choose another one for his Christmas stocking - probably London buses as we hope to visit next year and treat him to a ride on a bendy bus and a Routemaster.
Keep up the good work.
Kind regards,
Laura, Philip and Leon S

SOUTHERN VECTIS REMEMBERED
some more archive shots from my digitised negs, this time we are on the Isle of Wight.
last night webmaster Fraser got me up and running so I can amend our site myself, this is a tricky process at first but should come in handy when I am more proficient with the tools involved. The site has already been updated a little, 2010 order form uploaded and DVD list slap up to date, note videos no longer listed. Please don't request written lists, it's all on the website.
I needed a few pints down the Three Greyhounds after a nerve wracking hour on the phone with Fraser. It's all easy when you know how.
Tonight I load the car up ready for LOTs at London tomorrow, I'll have all my South Eastern photo stock with me plus the latest DVD releases.
