CELEBRATION OF TTC BY JOHN F BROMLEY
a celebration of Toronto TTC by John F Bromley our good friend in Canada.
Today plagued by the wretched US import, Halloween, when did that ever feature in a British upbringing, should be sent packing , very unpatriotic sort of effort, what oh!
If you are all very good I'll post a new Youtube trailer tomorrow and get my finger out and some more archives done.
Of course here in UK the true believers were all glued to the Corrie wedding.
Of Viscount Lindley what can we say, a little coke sir and a nice suck!

GREAT CHOICE CHELTENHAM GLOUCESTER
well it was a good decision on location, the weather forecast for Cheltenham and Gloucester was spot on, bright but cloudy, just right for atumn filming. Had full English to start day, not as good as Nuneaton last Saturday but ok and warming although it was actually quite mild. There seemed to be plenty of bus action in Cheltenham, photos of which tomoorow meanwhie we have Gloucester . We had to get our photos done so stopped at services on the way back, hilarious getting it right and getting enough change, needed 3 for Bangladesh and two for India visa applications which meant two lots of photos each. These will NOT feature!

FUTURE PROJECTS CLUES HEREIN
not too sure about tomorrows weather so cant say definite if or where we shall be filming, I'm still on with editing the next London archive.
Mandy is off to Ireland Monday getting ready for a week of self care.
Sunday plan to strip flower borders and get all the bulbs in for spring.
A little bit of progress with family history this week on the Nicholson liner, the DNA project should be interesting when they get enough people on board.
Lots of archive features lined up to make, some clues in photos which in turn represent tributes to John Bishop for filming them, photos via late Arnold Richardson.

BACK ON LONDON ARCHIVES AGAIN
photos courtesy Gregg Bubb who offers a sales service, these remind us of the cine of George Roberts that I'm tackling again, twice in a week that's masochism not a hobby.
The frost this morning was severe and finally put paid to all the bedding plants plus the dahlias round the back .
The forecast for Saturday is pretty dire so not sure if we'll get any filming done.
Also trying to knock out some DVD from VHS for our post master Peter's family

REDDITCH THE RUNCORN OF THE MIDLANDS
Well Redditch is some place, bus crews friendly, no hassles filming, a new bus station to contend with but what a nightmare of a place to escape from, reminded us of Runcorn with all the roundabouts and roads going nowhere. Also what rubbish sign posting all around the area visited, think the gypsies must have nicked half the signs for the aluminium.
I've now edited both films from Saturday and preparing to list, ebay etc.

LONDON DVD NEARLY READY 1970s to 80s
The bloke with the phone to his ear on the left second picture above nonchalantly grabbed hold and shook my camera, ignored me and carried on walking , Leamington Spa, what a weird place, reminded me of Tunbridge Wells, plenty of mutton dressed up as lamb, the youngsters dressed up like , well i don't know!
Finished the Regional Bus Archive London Routes. Got cover to do but not tonight, loading a trailer on Youtube.

GLORIOUS FRIENDLY SUNNY COVENTRY
well at last I've finished the London bus regional archive 1970s to 80s by George Roberts, it stretched the RAM of my main computer to capacity and beyond, over an hour of archives.
Yesterday photos at Coventry, the only drive who didn't wave was already waving to a friend the other side! Well done Coventry, up the West Midlands.
Today a lot of tidying in the garden, paths cleaned, borders cleared, bulbs potted up

THREE CHEERS FOR NUNEATON
well who's not watching the rugby tonight, not many eh, did I mention we received the new Trux Ansair 1954 Flxible Clipper model in the week, bit rough on the roof edge painting and one wheel hub not perfect but otherwise looks fine, interesting subject, the first US bus in 1/76 I wonder abeit Oz operator.
Today we did Nuneaton ( photos above) then Coventry, Leamington and Redditch. Three were non stop smiles and waves from the drivers, one we were ignored and had hassle from posh yobbo. Guess which.
Had super breakfast opposite townhall in Nuneaton, near the site of the old M Red bus station. Very much George Elliot town, names everywhere, nice people but little sods had pulled out freshly planted spriong flowers around the bus station, I'd hang um for that, not joking, what about the little sods who got off with one year for stoning a chap to death, I'd chop off bits slowly and stuff em up em whatever their age likewise apologists for their actions. Of course they knew they were doing wrong.
Anyway feel better for that, well done Nuneaton, most folk are obviously very nice, not like Leamington poncy spa, oops clue there to my competition.

SUNNY WEEKEND AHEAD LOTS TO DO
Well another autumnal day but sunny, so much to do, I'm making very good progress with the London regional archive DVD, the pictures are ready just need to add sound which can take much longer than images.
Also today managed to do some family history on Mandy's Nicholson ancestors plus a bit on my Spencer side.
Tomorro we heading for Warwickshire, Nuneaton, Coventry and Leamington Spa, see how it pans out, should have some photos for you Saturday night

OFF DOWN THE PUB SILLY CHESTER TOURISM
Off down the pub for a break, fixed the problem with the web film listing last night and still busy editing London 70s archive feature by George Roberts.
Today I almost made it to the end of the first part of my autobiography, all ready for publisher, about 233 A4 pages at present. PS there are another two parts!
Undecided about Saturday film location, any votes / suggestions.
Daft comments on site from Chester Tourism re Chester Bus scenes on Youtube, thought they'd know better.

PMP LISTINGS PROBLEM RESOLVED
The photos from the GVVT Sunday dedicated to my mate John who filmed the Glasgow trolleys and trams after cycling there all the way from Sussex.
Fraser our webmaster, unpaid!, sorted out my senior moment memory lapse which has meant the web site film list was out of date, thanks Fraser.
Working on Regional Film Archive London Bus Routes.
Twenty years ago I was in Berkshire when the October Hurricane hit us, I hoped to ring you photos but too tired to go up to attic , scan etc. It was a terrible time, the next morning i had an exam at Reading university to sit.

YET MORE ON GLASGOW I DONT ARFF GO ON
Well a few more GVVT shots from Sunday including the commercials of which there were a few.
Weather here in Cheshire going autumnal and wet, trips will become less each week.
Contemplating the start on the london archives to DVD, so many projects to get me head around and no help.
If you study family history ever thought how awful it is that we get our census info via Ancestry an Amercan site and have to pay them. one US site I like ( don't tell anyone though) is Tripadviser although the Sunday Times has a right downer on them. I find many superb rare hotel treats from their site.
